Creating Gamified Systems and Mentality

What do you think of when you think of “Play”? We hear it all the time, the word “play” has been so engrossed in our understanding of childhood development and is the basis of inquiry and exploration. Is it possible we’re just tapping the surface? Could we be more strategic and intentional with play? Let’s deep dive into the complexity of play. Let’s understand and apply its mechanics and systems to foster holistic success. Let’s master how it influences our brains to grow, learn and adapt. In this workshop you will complete every level of the most effective tool to human development. You will learn how to wield play like a wand to conjure discovery, wellbeing, grit, growth mindset, social skills and holistic success. I believe if play can seriously equip children to unlock their potential for growth and joy. We will discuss:

  • How to use play and game theory to level up inspired learning environments.

  • Super-charge engagement with evidence based gamified psychology.

  • Mental and structural mechanics that foster strong core competency skills.

  • Proactive positive behaviour strategies.

Workshop Presenter: PJ Prinsloo – Awareness Module

P.J. has worked with children and youth for 19 years. He began this journey with the Attorney General’s Office of B.C. as a youth facilitator speaking at schools throughout the province on the topics anti-violence and anti-racism. For many years, P.J, pursued a growing acting career while working as a youth leader at Jericho Kids Club. This is where his passion for youth work formed into a life purpose. The combination of his experience at JKC, his acting background and many psychology classes inspired a unique and revolutionary approach that eventually became known as The Awareness Module.
